Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a full-time School Psychologist serving students for the fall semester. This role begins August 17th and extends through mid-November to cover a maternity leave, with the possibility of continuing through the end of the academic year. Your expertise will make a significant difference in a supportive educational environment as you help guide students, faculty, and families to ensure positive learning experiences.
Your Role:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for students Interpret assessment data and collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams Participate in eligibility determination meetings, providing clear and thoughtful recommendations Offer limited counseling services as needed, addressing student concerns and supporting their emotional well-being Maintain and organize relevant documentation in line with school and district policies Serve as a resource and consultant on best practices in interventions and accommodations Engage in IEP meetings, collaborating to develop and update student plans
Desired Background:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology Current credentials as a School Psychologist; Pennsylvania certification required Knowledge of special education processes, federal/state regulations, and ethical guidelines Experience conducting assessments and creating individualized recommendations in a school setting Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities Comfortable with both evaluation and counseling services Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and student needs You'll thrive in this contract position with a supportive staff, a chance to make immediate and meaningful impact, and exposure to a diverse range of student needs.
