Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling opportunity as a full-time School Psychologist supporting a vibrant educational environment. This contract role begins August 17 and extends through mid-November with potential for extension through the end of the school year. Grow your skills while making a meaningful impact during a pivotal time for students and staff. As part of a collaborative school team, you'll engage directly with students and educators, conducting evaluations and assessments to support academic achievement and emotional well-being. Your expertise in school psychology will help guide effective interventions and contribute to a positive, supportive school climate. There may also be the opportunity to provide counseling, further enriching the services you offer to students in need.
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid state credential/certification for School Psychologists Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and writing comprehensive reports Familiarity with special education processes, IEP meetings, and eligibility determinations Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with students, staff, and families Previous school-based experience is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' educational and psychological needs Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participating in IEP processes Document findings and recommendations clearly and accurately Possibly provide direct counseling support to students Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop appropriate interventions This full-time role is ideal for those seeking to enhance their professional experience while ensuring students receive the support they need to excel.
