Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract A contract opportunity is available for experienced School Psychologists to support students within school settings located in Carbon County or Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. These positions are intended to provide vital psychological services aligned with special education requirements and IEP development during the 2026-2027 school year.
Position Details:
Location:
Carbon County or Lehigh County, PA (assignment may not be at the IU main office located in Schnecksville, PA)
Schedule:
Part-time (15+ hours per week) or full-time (35 hours per week) considered
Contract Dates:
August 2026 through June 2027 (tentative; aligned with the school calendar)
Work Modality:
In-person only
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and services to students with special education needs Participate actively in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all state and local regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Pennsylvania School Psychologist license Active Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) certification for School Psychologists Demonstrated experience working within special education settings Proven track record of involvement in IEP development and implementation Candidates should prepare the following for consideration: Proof of active PA Psychologist licensure and PDE certification Full name and city of residence (commuting location) Bullet-pointed summary highlighting relevant experience and skills Current resume reflecting applicable qualifications and roles This opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes within a collaborative educational environment.
