We are looking for 2 teachers in Lehigh County area and 2 teachers in Carbon County. A day in the life of these teachers would be provided a HOME base and daily a sub line will contact the teacher to tell them of their sub assignment for the day. If no subbing, the teacher would report to their HOME base for the day. This could be for early intervention 3-5 classrooms or school aged. The ideal candidates will possess a deep commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments and supporting students with diverse needs. This role involves designing individualized instruction plans, implementing evidence-based teaching strategies, and collaborating closely with families, therapists, and other educators to promote student success. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with disabilities while advancing your professional skills within a dynamic educational setting. Responsibilities Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that align with individual education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities. Utilize specialized instructional techniques such as speech therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis to support student development. Adapt curriculum content to meet the unique needs of students, including those who are deaf, visually impaired, or have autism spectrum disorder. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive support strategies that include literacy education, math instruction, and early childhood development activities. Manage classroom environments effectively through classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and engagement. Conduct assessments using standardized testing and progress monitoring tools to evaluate student growth and inform instructional adjustments. Incorporate learning technology and instructional design principles to enhance educational delivery and accessibility. Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, IEP goals, behavioral data, and communication logs in compliance with district policies. Provide mentorship and guidance to paraprofessionals, interns, or new educators working within the classroom setting. Engage in ongoing professional development related to special education best practices, including Montessori methods, recreational therapy, or preschool experience as applicable. Experience Valid Pennsylvania (PA) certification as a Special Education Teacher is required. Proven classroom experience working with children with disabilities in diverse settings such as private schools or early intervention programs. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Experience implementing behavioral health strategies and behavioral management techniques effectively within classroom environments. Familiarity with assistive learning technologies and tools used for visually impaired or hearing-impaired students. Knowledge of IEP development processes, standardized testing procedures, and instructional planning tailored for learners with special needs. Prior experience mentoring or supervising staff members or interns is advantageous. Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, therapists, school administrators, and community resources dedicated to child welfare and education.
