Job Description
Lavado Psychological Services is seeking a Licensed Psychologist to join our growing practice. Our team consists of clinicians with extensive experience diagnosing neurodevelopmental, learning, and psychiatric conditions across the lifespan. We provide comprehensive, evidence-based assessment services to individuals ages two through adulthood, with a strong emphasis on diagnostic clarity and clinically meaningful recommendations for families and referral sources. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in the differential diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Specific Learning Disorders, and co-occurring psychiatric conditions. This role involves conducting thorough psychological and neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults presenting with developmental, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral concerns. Strong clinical judgment, proficiency in integrating multi-source data, and the ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively are essential. We are seeking a clinician who is passionate about assessment, values high-quality diagnostic work, and is motivated to contribute to a collaborative and supportive group practice while supporting continued growth of services. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological and/or neuropsychological evaluations across the lifespan, including administration, scoring, interpretation, and integration of standardized measures. Formulate differential diagnoses, with particular emphasis on ASD, ADHD, learning disorders, and co-occurring psychiatric conditions. Prepare clear, concise, and clinically meaningful evaluation reports with actionable, evidence-based recommendations. Develop treatment recommendations and coordinate referrals for additional services when indicated. Maintain accurate, timely, and ethical clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards. Communicate findings effectively with patients, families, schools, and interdisciplinary providers. Qualifications Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology. Active, unrestricted license as a Psychologist in the state of Florida. Demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults. Strong background in the assessment and differential diagnosis of ASD, ADHD, Specific Learning Disorders, and related psychiatric conditions. Competence in evidence-based assessment practices and report writing. Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred given the population served.
