Full Job Description Position Overview :
Simply Thrive Therapeutic Associates is seeking a Licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to provide comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. This role is ideally suited for a psychologist who is passionate about assessment-focused work and thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. The Licensed Psychologist will be supported by a robust referral network and a dedicated administrative team, enabling a primary focus on delivering high-quality evaluations and clinically sound reports, with no expectation of maintaining a caseload. This is a full-time, W-2 employee position with a competitive fee-for-service compensation model. The ideal candidate brings clinical excellence, strong diagnostic acumen, and a genuine commitment to helping individuals and families gain insight and access to the support they need.

Caitlyn Dowdy, Tina Kinnan, and Sharon Gerald Duties/Responsibilities :
Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, learning disorders, and mood/personality conditions. Administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological testing instruments with accuracy and clinical rigor Maintain a consistent caseload of evaluations aligned with full-time productivity expectations Produce clear, timely, and clinically sound evaluation reports that meet professional and regulatory standards Maintain complete and accurate documentation within TherapyNotes EHR in accordance with Simply Thrive policies Meet documentation turnaround expectations as established by clinical leadership Conduct thorough feedback sessions with clients and/or families to communicate evaluation findings and recommendations Provide referrals and guidance to families navigating next steps following evaluation Uphold the highest standards of client experience and compassionate, respectful services Collaborate with therapists, clinical supervisors, and leadership as needed to support integrated client care Contribute to the ongoing development and growth of Simply Thrive's evaluation program Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities
Core Clinical Competencies :
Exceptional diagnostic reasoning and differential assessment skills Proficiency in administering and interpreting a broad range of standardized testing instruments Strong written and verbal communication, including high-quality report writing Ability to work independently, manage timelines, and prioritize competing demands High emotional intelligence and ability to connect with diverse client populations Commitment to ethical practice and regulatory compliance Collaborative spirit and openness to interdisciplinary consultation Growth mindset with interest in contributing to program development
Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (PhD or PsyD) Active, unrestricted North Carolina Psychologist license (or license-eligible with path to licensure) Experience conducting psychological and/or psychoeducational evaluations Strong diagnostic acumen and evaluation report writing skills Ability to work independently and manage evaluation timelines effectively Experience with child and adolescent psychological assessments Familiarity with autism spectrum and ADHD evaluation protocols Comfort working in a fast-paced, growing outpatient mental health setting Experience with TherapyNotes or comparable EHR platforms Alignment with Simply Thrive's mission, vision, and values This position is not right for you if you're: Prefer maintaining an ongoing therapy caseload over assessment-focused work Struggle with independent time management and self-directed productivity Are not interested in contributing to the growth of an emerging evaluation program Are uncomfortable in a collaborative, team-oriented practice environment This position perfect for you if you're: Is energized by comprehensive psychological assessment and diagnostic clarity Wants to build something meaningful, and grow a specialized evaluation program Values working within a mission-driven practice that prioritizes clinician wellbeing Is passionate about access, equity, and eliminating mental health stigma Thrives with autonomy while appreciating strong administrative and team support Is committed to timely, high-quality reporting that makes a real difference for families Compensation & Benefits 51.25%
