Job Description

About the Practice
NIDA HAMID PSYD PLLC
is a clinical and neuropsychology-informed practice serving adolescents and adults with a wide range of psychological, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral concerns. We work with individuals presenting with trauma-related symptoms, depression, anxiety, TBI/post-concussive symptoms, chronic pain, adjustment difficulties, emotional dysregulation, stress-related disorders, and other complex clinical presentations. Position Overview We are seeking a Michigan Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP) with a master's degree in psychology to provide psychotherapy services to patients ages 13 and older. This is a true hybrid position based out of our Troy, MI office. The clinician should expect approximately 50% of their clinical schedule to be completed in person at the Troy office. In-office availability is mandatory and is not optional. Remote/telehealth work may be available for clinically appropriate Michigan-based patients, but this is not a primarily remote position. Applicants seeking mostly or fully remote work should not apply. This position begins part-time and may expand based on caseload development, patient retention, scheduling consistency, clinical competency, and the clinician's ability to contribute to referral growth. Responsibilities Provide individual psychotherapy to adolescents 13+ and adults Treat a broad range of concerns, including trauma, depression, anxiety, TBI/post-concussive concerns, chronic pain, adjustment issues, emotional dysregulation, and stress-related disorders Use evidence-based approaches such as CPT, ACT, DBT, CBT, mindfulness-based interventions, and other clinically appropriate modalities Adapt therapy for patients with cognitive, emotional, medical, or behavioral complexity Maintain timely, ethical, and clinically appropriate documentation Participate in supervision, consultation, and treatment planning Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, informed consent, and ethical standards Coordinate care with other providers when clinically appropriate Required Qualifications Master's degree in Psychology Active Michigan LLP license in good standing Experience providing psychotherapy to adolescents and/or adults Experience with trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, chronic pain, TBI, or complex clinical populations Strong understanding of ethical practice, documentation standards, confidentiality, informed consent, and scope of competence Ability to work independently while appropriately using supervision Must carry individual professional liability/malpractice insurance Must be available to work in person at the Troy, MI office for approximately half of scheduled clinical hours Preferred Qualifications Training or experience in CPT, ACT, DBT, CBT, trauma-informed care, chronic pain treatment, or neuropsychology-informed clinical care Comfort working with patients ages 13+ Ability to build and maintain a consistent caseload Willingness to contribute to referral development over time Strong communication, reliability, and documentation skills Compensation & Caseload Structure Compensation begins at $40/hour. Compensation may be reviewed over time, but increases are not automatic and are based on experience, clinical competency, quality of work, reliability, documentation standards, patient retention, caseload development, and referrals the clinician independently brings into the practice. This position may grow from part-time to more consistent hours depending on caseload availability and the clinician's contribution to practice growth. This is not being presented as a guaranteed full-time position at the outset. Professional Growth There may be future opportunities to support training, consultation, or supervision-related tasks for other LLPs based on experience, competence, licensure status, ethical judgment, and practice needs. These opportunities are not guaranteed and would be considered only after demonstrated reliability, clinical skill, and contribution to the practice. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is clinically thoughtful, ethical, reliable, and motivated to work with complex patients. They should be comfortable treating a wide range of concerns, able to maintain strong documentation, open to supervision, and realistic about building a caseload over time. This role is best suited for someone who values both autonomy and accountability and understands that in-person clinical presence is a required part of the position. To Apply Please submit your resume/CV and a brief statement describing your clinical experience, populations treated, evidence-based modalities used, and interest in working with complex clinical presentations.
