Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a school psychologist for the Extended School Year (ESY) session taking place June 15th through July 30th, 2026. This role is focused on providing compensatory services in a school environment—perfect for professionals eager to make a meaningful impact over the summer. The position will involve working on-site, with hours typically from 7:45 AM to 2:00 PM. The exact weekly schedule may vary based on student needs and service requirements.
Qualifications:
Valid, active Alabama School Psychologist license required Experience conducting comprehensive student assessments and delivering compensatory services in a K-12 educational setting Proficiency in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong communication, collaboration, and consultation skills for working with students, families, and school teams Commitment to in-person service; virtual and remote work are not available for this position
Responsibilities:
Provide compensatory psychological services according to student IEPs Administer and interpret psychological assessments as needed Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to design effective intervention strategies Participate in eligibility meetings and contribute to educational planning Document services and progress according to local and state guidelines
