What You'll Do As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in helping students thrive by providing assessment, consultation, intervention, and collaboration services across the district.

Key responsibilities include:

+ Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education and related services.

+ Interpret assessment data and prepare detailed evaluation reports.

+ Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and Section 504 meetings.

+ Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to support student achievement and well-being.

+ Conduct classroom observations, interviews, and behavioral assessments.

+ Assist with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).

+ Provide consultation on instructional strategies, behavioral supports, and social-emotional interventions.

+ Support crisis response efforts, threat assessments, and student safety planning.

+ Utilize data-driven practices to monitor student progress and intervention effectiveness.

+ Provide individual and group counseling services as appropriate.

+ Support Multi-Tiered Systems of Support ( MTSS ) and Response to Intervention ( RTI ) initiatives.

+ Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.

+ Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in school psychology. Qualifications Education & Licensure

+ Specialist Degree (Ed.

S.), Master's Degree with advanced certification, or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.

+ Valid Illinois Professional Educator License ( PEL ) with School Psychologist endorsement.

+ Must meet all Illinois State Board of Education requirements. Preferred Experience

+ Previous school-based experience.

+ Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations.

+ Experience participating in special education processes and compliance procedures.

+ Experience supporting students with behavioral, emotional, and learning needs.

+ Knowledge of

MTSS , RTI

, behavior interventions, and special education regulations. Skills & Expertise Successful candidates will demonstrate:

+ Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and evaluation procedures.

+ Expertise in child development, learning theory, behavior management, and mental health practices.

+ Understanding of IDEA , Section 504, FERPA , and related educational regulations.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

+ Effective case management and organizational skills.
