Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding and impactful contract role as a school psychologist, supporting students in the mid to south region of the county. You'll serve both an elementary and a secondary school, collaborating closely with educators, families, and support staff to help students thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. This full-time opportunity operates on a 35-hour work week, starting August 18, 2025 and continuing through June 11, 2026. Your experience and dedication will make a difference—whether you're a seasoned professional or a recent graduate. Those with a strong background may also be considered for a hybrid schedule, with all student-centered work completed in person and availability to the schools maintained throughout the contract.
Qualifications:
Valid Maryland certification as a School Psychologist (out-of-state certification and new graduates welcome) Demonstrated understanding of the role of school psychologists at both elementary and secondary levels Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to implement intervention strategies and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough psychological assessments and provide interpretation of results Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop IEPs and behavior intervention plans Deliver individual and group counseling sessions to students as needed Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success Stay available on school campuses as outlined in the contract, ensuring consistent support and presence This district is highly regarded for its supportive environment and its history of contract renewals—an excellent long-term opportunity.
