Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Bring your expertise to support students across two vibrant educational communities as a School Psychologist on a full-time contract for the upcoming school year. Work with one elementary and one secondary school, both situated in the mid to south region of the county, and experience a role that balances impactful student-centered work with the possibility of hybrid flexibility for exceptionally qualified applicants. The assignment spans from August 18, 2025 through June 11, 2026, offering you the chance to make meaningful connections and provide essential psychological services within a district renowned for welcoming professionals from diverse backgrounds, including new graduates and out-of-state applicants.
Qualifications & Experience:
Certified School Psychologist in Maryland, or eligibility for MD certification Open to new graduates and those relocating from out of state Strong assessment, consultation, and intervention skills Ability to navigate a full-time, 35-hour workweek and manage responsibilities at two school locations Flexibility to work primarily onsite, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule for especially strong candidates
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments Deliver direct and consultative services to students, teachers, and families Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor IEPs and behavior support plans Participate in problem-solving and crisis intervention as needed Provide support and intervention both individually and in group settings This contract opportunity places you within easy reach of Prince Frederick, with Baltimore and Washington, D.C. just a short drive away, allowing for a perfect blend of professional growth and regional exploration.
