Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic K-8 educational setting as a skilled School Psychologist, supporting students and staff with your expertise. This contract opportunity, located near Meridian, ID, offers an engaging schedule from August through the end of the school year, with a flexible 6-8 hours per week commitment. Both onsite and hybrid work arrangements are available, providing the perfect blend of direct and remote support.
Responsibilities include:
Administering psychoeducational assessments to students in grades K-8 Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized educational and behavioral plans Conducting one-on-one and group counseling sessions as needed Supporting interventions addressing academic, emotional, and behavioral challenges Participating as a valued member of IEP and multidisciplinary teams Providing crisis intervention and consultation as situations arise Maintaining thorough documentation and ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines Desired qualifications: Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure for Idaho (or eligibility) Previous experience working with K-8 student populations Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication abilities Ability to adapt to onsite and hybrid work environments This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact while balancing professional aspirations with a manageable, part-time schedule.
