Tacoma, Washington:
Step into a meaningful full-time opportunity supporting students and staff for the upcoming new school year. This contract position is ideal for a School Psychologist looking to take on a short-term role for a single semester that focuses on one school site, servicing grades Kindergarten through 5th. As the current school psychologist remains on leave, your expertise will be central in ensuring the continuation of high-quality evaluation and supervision services.
Key Qualifications:
  • Valid Washington State School Psychologist license
  • At least two years of professional experience preferred; strong new graduates will be considered
  • Background check clearance including fingerprinting
  • Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for credentialing
  • Experience with elementary or high school populations; preschool experience a plus
  • Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 1,000 students per psychologist
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial assessments and re-evaluations
  • Handle referrals and manage an active caseload
  • Perform approximately 60 initial evaluations annually, plus additional re-evaluations
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to support student success
  • Participate in response-to-intervention processes and provide recommendations
