Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Take on a rewarding contract opportunity at a high school setting, serving as a School Psychologist for the upcoming school year. This full-time, in-person position offers the chance to support students' academic, emotional, and behavioral growth, collaborating closely with educators and families in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
Current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Previous experience working in a school-based setting, preferably at the high school level Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents Familiarity with special education procedures, IEP development, and eligibility determinations Commitment to supporting diverse student populations with empathy and professionalism
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological and educational assessments to determine student needs Interpret assessment data and provide written and verbal reports Participate in eligibility, intervention, and IEP meetings as an active team member Deliver individual and small group counseling to support students' academic and emotional development Consult with school staff and families on effective classroom strategies and interventions Assist in crisis prevention and response, fostering a safe and supportive school climate Uphold ethical and legal standards in all practices This is a 37.5 hour per week, on-site role—remote and hybrid options are not available. The caseload will be determined prior to assignment, ensuring candidates can effectively manage and support student needs.
