Job Description

SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the clinical director and Assistant Chief of Psychology, who reports to the Chief of Adult Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Brown University Health, the psychologist evaluates and treats patients, providing a full range of psychological services including psychological assessment and psychotherapy. Assists with Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance Initiatives consistent with Brown University Health principles. Candidates may be eligible for a faculty appointment through the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. For those with faculty appointments, some teaching and supervision of trainees will be required. RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical responsibilities include: provide direct patient care and consultative services as assigned assist in assuring the delivery of high quality, evidence-based, efficient, and cost-effective clinical services in the hospital system adhere to Brown University Health and Brown Health Medical Group patient safety guidelines comply with all Brown University Health Medical Staff Guidelines (CMEs, Medical Records, OPPE requirements, etc).
Administrative responsibilities include:
promote and follow the Corporate Values and Guiding Principles of Brown Health Medical Group assist in the clinical operations at Brown University Health and Brown Health Medical Group to support the Mission and Vision of Brown University Health and Brown Health Medical Group assist in the division's quality assurance and quality improvement plan to assure compliance with the requirements of the JCAHO and those of other appropriate regulatory agencies and organizations assist in the implementation and promotion of customer-focused, quality improvement principles throughout the division's clinical and administrative organization serve on various hospital committees as requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
PhD in Clinical Psychology or the equivalent (e.g., PsyD, PhD or EdD in Counseling Psychology). Completion of an American Psychological Association accredited Internship. Postdoctoral Fellowship (minimum 1 year) if required by state of licensure. Licensed to practice or eligible for licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Rhode Island and/or Massachusetts (as required based on practice location).
Pay Range:
$100,027.20-$165,048.00
