Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract To Hire Step into a dynamic educational setting and contribute your expertise as a School Psychologist in an impactful, full-time contract-to-hire opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year. As a valued professional, you'll support students' academic, social, and emotional growth while working collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Your background in school psychology will allow you to make meaningful connections, deliver comprehensive psychological services, and help build a positive school environment. You'll explore a variety of caseloads, engaging with students who benefit most from your guidance and support during this pivotal academic year.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active School Psychologist License in South Carolina Graduate degree from an accredited program in School Psychology Previous experience working in K-12 schools strongly preferred Strong understanding of special education evaluation procedures, Response to Intervention (RTI), and Federal/State regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological and academic assessments for students as part of eligibility and intervention processes Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to support student success and well-being Provide direct student counseling and recommend evidence-based interventions Assist with the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Maintain clear, confidential documentation and timely reporting Offer crisis intervention and participate in school safety initiatives as needed This role provides an opportunity to establish meaningful relationships with students and staff while shaping the school climate in positive ways.
