Description :
Position Summary:
Perform school psychological services in accordance with the policies and procedures of the assigned school district. Duties may include but are not limited to evaluation for special education services counseling functional behavior assessment direct and indirect academic and behavioral intervention crisis response report writing Medicaid billing and facilitating meetings and processes to ensure State and Federal guidelines are followed.
Supervised Employees:
to be determined by district may include school psychologist paraprofessionals interns practicum students or others.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from a NASP- or APA-approved program in School Psychology Current active license in the states of practice Excellent interpersonal skills and professional judgment
Position Specific Requirements:
Complete comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations in accordance with Federal and State guidelines as well as district policies and procedures. Prepare a wide variety of written materials e.g. student evaluations and accompanying legal documents various correspondence behavior plans Medicaid billing etc. Communicate clearly concisely and professionally in all written and oral language Assist with development and implementation of general education interventions and individualized education programs to ensure that a student is receiving a free appropriate public education. Communicate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure timely comprehensive evaluations and quality services. Coordinate with community agencies including medical social service and mental health services to determine appropriate interventions to meet a childs needs. Complete comprehensive documentation of all services as required by the contract districts policies and procedures. Document and complete all billing requirements for such services as required by the contract districts policies and procedures. Apply current research theory and case law to inform programming and decision-making. Provide direction and supervision of district personnel such as school psychologist paraprofessionals or interns in the provision of services under the rules and regulations of any State or Federal guidelines in addition to Quantums policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
