Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Neuropsychologist provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation, assessment, and consultation services to patients seen within Neurology Clinic, P.C. Working as an integral member of the multidisciplinary neurology team, the Neuropsychologist assesses cognitive, behavioral, and emotional functioning across a broad spectrum of neurological conditions including dementia, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, stroke, brain tumor, and other neurological disorders. The role includes direct patient care, report writing, consultation, and collaboration with neurologists and other providers to guide diagnosis and treatment planning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Neuropsychological Assessment & Evaluation Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for patients presenting with a wide range of neurological conditions. Select, administer, score, and interpret standardized neuropsychological test batteries appropriate to the patient population. Integrate medical history, neuroimaging, laboratory findings, and collateral information into the neuropsychological formulation. Diagnose cognitive and neurobehavioral disorders based on evaluation findings within scope of practice. Complete thorough, clinically meaningful neuropsychological reports in a timely manner. Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to patients, families, and referring providers through feedback sessions and written reports. Patient & Family Education Deliver clear, compassionate feedback to patients and families regarding assessment results, diagnoses, and prognosis. Educate patients on compensatory strategies, adaptive tools, and community resources for cognitive and behavioral challenges. Documentation & Compliance Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Ensure all clinical activities comply with HIPAA, federal, state, and institutional regulations. Adhere to APA ethical principles and guidelines for psychological assessment and practice. Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and outcomes tracking initiatives. Research, Education & Professional Development Contribute to clinical research, grant activity, and publication efforts as appropriate. Maintain current knowledge of advances in clinical neuropsychology and evidence-based assessment practices.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.

D.) in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology from an APA-accredited program. Current, unrestricted license as a psychologist in the state of Tennessee (or eligibility for licensure). Board certification by the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology (ABCN/ABPP). Demonstrated competency in neuropsychological assessment across multiple neurological and psychiatric conditions. Proficiency with standard neuropsychological test batteries. Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and patient/family feedback.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of post-licensure neuropsychological experience in an outpatient or medical setting. Proficient with Epic, eClinicalWorks or comparable EHR platform. History of involvement in clinical research or academic collaboration.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Outpatient clinical setting; standard Monday-Friday daytime schedule. Prolonged periods of seated testing and report writing. Ability to interact with patients across a range of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral presentations.
