Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Begin your next professional chapter by supporting students' growth and success as a School Psychologist for an enriching assignment. This contract opportunity runs full-time from August 4th through the end of December, covering two consecutive maternity leaves. You'll contribute expertise across 37.5 hours each week, Monday through Friday, offering vital services to an elementary population of about 500 students. Your skills will make a meaningful difference as you help students and staff navigate a successful first semester. Collaborate closely with educational teams, apply evidence-based practices, and support a healthy academic environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid certification and licensure as a School Psychologist Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and delivering counseling in school environments Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) Strong interpersonal communication skills with students, staff, and families Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting Previous experience supporting elementary student populations is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct psychological services and consultation for students Conduct evaluations for learning and behavioral needs Support interventions and strategies to address academic and social-emotional challenges Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families for student-centered planning Assist with crisis intervention and response as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments and services
