Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Seeking experienced school psychologists for a full-time, contract opportunity supporting local education teams near Austin, TX. Work primarily at the 9th Grade Center, providing vital psychological services that promote student success while collaborating closely with other professionals.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Proven experience in a school setting, preferably at the secondary level Strong background in conducting psychological evaluations and assessments Ability to collaborate effectively with diagnosticians and other team members Solid understanding of ARDs (Admission, Review, and Dismissal committees) and special education processes Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Role and Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations (in partnership with diagnosticians) for elementary students as assigned Support ARDs by preparing documentation, reviewing evaluations, and contributing expertise Serve as a resource for staff in interpreting psychological data and implementing student interventions Maintain timely, accurate records and reports in accordance with school and state guidelines Actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss evaluation results and recommendations No counseling duties required; focus is on evaluation, consultation, and support throughout the assessment process This assignment is suited for professionals who thrive in a structured environment and are committed to furthering student achievement through their expertise in school psychology.
