Primary Purpose:
Conducts comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations, interprets results, and provides psychological services to support student learning and development.
Qualifications:
Education and Certification Master's degree Ph.D. (preferred) Valid Texas license as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology Texas License as a psychologist or working toward licensure Experience Experience preferred; however, successful completion of internship is acceptable Three (3) years of experience in a Texas public school setting Experience with the admission, review, and dismissal process Knowledge and Skills Ability to work collaboratively with a team Advanced organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Evaluation Conduct comprehensive individual psycho-educational evaluations for referrals and three-year re-evaluations within timelines as prescribed by law. Conduct student observations in general education and special education classrooms. Maintain current knowledge regarding research, development, and technology in the field of individual evaluation relating to student eligibility for special education services. Consultation and Collaboration Provide leadership to the campus in the Pre-Referral Process, ARD Process, Child Find procedures, and Confidentiality of Student Records. Provide leadership to the campus multidisciplinary evaluation in the placement process. Conduct in-service training and consultative services for general and special education teachers. Student Support and Intervention Provide leadership in the development and monitoring of individual student behavior improvement plans. Provide direct services to students eligible for psychological services as a related service. Provide parents' progress reports related to students' identified IEP goals and objectives on a six-week basis.
Additional Responsibilities:
Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Participate in professional development, department meetings, and special events as assigned. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of the campus and department.

Exposure to biological hazards, bacteria, and communicable diseases; districtwide and occasional statewide travel
