Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an onsite School Psychologist in the area near Denton, TX. Districts are seeking licensed specialists who are committed to fostering positive learning environments while supporting students' social, emotional, and academic success. With flexibility to work part-time or full-time, and hybrid schedules available (3 days onsite, 2 days remote), you'll find the balance you're looking for in a dynamic education setting.
Key Qualifications:
Hold a valid Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP), or an Associate School Psychologist credential. School Psychologist license issued by the board of examiners of psychologists is required. Prior experience in school psychology and familiarity with a district environment preferred. Strong skills in assessment, intervention, consultation, and collaboration with staff and families. Must be ready to complete onboarding processes, including fingerprinting and registry list searches.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments, evaluations, and interventions. Develop individualized education program (IEP) recommendations through collaboration with educational teams. Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support to students. Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents on student needs and strategies for success. Maintain accurate documentation and confidential records in compliance with regulations.
