Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students' success as a School Psychologist for the upcoming school year! This full-time contract position offers a blend of on-site engagement with one approved virtual workday each week, creating a flexible and dynamic work environment. You'll primarily collaborate at a 9th grade center, but may also have opportunities to provide support at elementary or middle school levels.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid School Psychologist certification/license (as required by state regulations) Strong background in counseling students across a range of grade levels Demonstrated experience with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Expertise in serving students with Autism (AU), Emotional Disturbance (ED), Other Health Impairment (OHI), and Specific Learning Disability (SLD) Familiarity working with Dyslexia support and evaluations Skilled in conducting cognitive and achievement assessments, particularly for SLD and Dyslexia eligibility Effective communicator and collaborator with educators, students, and families
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative counseling services to support student mental health and well-being Conduct and interpret comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations, including cog/ach assessments related to SLD and Dyslexia Implement and monitor FBAs and BIPs tailored to student needs Collaborate with other professionals to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) Serve as a resource and advocate for inclusive practices and specialized support for students Participate in meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and parent conferences as needed
