Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make an impact by providing vital psychological support and expertise in a school-based setting near La Vernia, TX. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic educational environments and are committed to student wellbeing and success. You'll work collaboratively with educators, families, and other specialists to help students meet their academic and social potential.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field Valid and current licensure/certification as a School Psychologist Experience conducting assessments and creating intervention plans Strong knowledge of special education laws, policies, and best practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Prior experience working with diverse student populations preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Perform psychoeducational assessments to determine students' needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior management support Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Present findings and recommendations clearly to staff and families Document sessions and maintain confidential records in accordance with regulations
