Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Take your school psychology expertise to a vibrant educational community near McKinney, TX. This is a contract position providing on-site, full-time support (37.5 hours/week) for the new school year. You'll play a vital role working with either K-12, elementary, or middle school students—grade levels will be assigned based on final caseload distribution. Utilize your evaluation and counseling skills in a meaningful setting, collaborating with educators and families to make a lasting difference in students' lives.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Active School Psychologist credential in Texas (or eligibility for licensure) Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and evaluations, with capacity for about 10 evaluations per month Confidence in providing counseling services to 6-8 students, adapting approach for various age groups Strong understanding of IEP process, special education law, and
RTI/MTSS
frameworks Excellent communication, consultation, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify student needs and inform instruction Deliver individual and group counseling with focus on supporting academic, social, and emotional growth Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engaging teachers, families, and administrators Support crisis intervention and preventative mental health initiatives on campus Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and progress monitoring as required Maintain thorough, timely documentation and reports
