Qualifications and Preferred Background:
Valid School Psychologist certification or license recognized by the state Experience in K-12 settings is highly valued Strong skills in psychological assessment, intervention, and counseling for students Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents Compassionate, detail-oriented, and adept at gathering/organizing information for accurate casework Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students' needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Provide individual and group counseling to students as needed Support crisis intervention, behavioral planning, and consultation services Gather detailed information effectively for evaluations, meetings, and reporting Serve as an expert resource on psychological best practices within the school community Deliver presentations, workshops, or materials supporting student mental health and learning Benefits of this
