Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students by leveraging your expertise as a School Psychologist on a full-time basis for the upcoming school year. This contract position offers a blend of onsite work (four days weekly) with one day approved for virtual service. Initially based at a 9th-grade center, there's also the potential to serve at elementary or middle school levels, providing varied experience across age groups. Bring your assessment and counseling skills to a collaborative educational environment. You'll engage with students requiring comprehensive psychological services, with a particular emphasis on behavioral assessments, individualized intervention plans, and specialized evaluations.
Key Qualifications:
Credentials as a School Psychologist with experience in educational settings Proficient in counseling, conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Knowledge of Autism (AU), Emotional Disturbance (ED), Other Health Impairment (OHI), and Specific Learning Disability (SLD) frameworks Skilled in supporting students with Dyslexia through cog/ach evaluations for SLD/Dyslexia determinations Flexibility to support students at various grade levels, including high school, middle, or elementary Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with faculty, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct counseling and psychological support to students Perform FBAs and BIPs, addressing behavioral and learning concerns Complete cognitive and achievement assessments for SLD/Dyslexia evaluations Collaborate in developing IEPs and related intervention strategies Consult with educators, parents, and staff to foster student growth and success This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to influence student outcomes and professional growth.
