PRN Psychologist - Newport News Dominion Medical Consulting - 5.0 Newport News, VA Job Details Part-time | Contract $800 - $1,200 a day 4 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Licensed Psychologist Credentials Full Job Description Dominion Medical Consulting is seeking a Psychologist to perform Mental Status and Psychological Testing disability evaluations for the Social Security Administration. This is a 1099 independent contractor position. This role involves conducting low-risk, non-treatment evaluations. No provider-patient relationship is established, and there is no responsibility for prescribing, follow-up care, or care management. We coordinate all scheduling and provide a fully staffed, professional clinic environment, including support staff and exam space. Providers are responsible only for completing the evaluation and documentation using a structured template. Position Details Exams consist of a history, mental status evaluation, and possibly psychological testing Reports are completed using a guided template for streamlined documentation For testing, a Q-Interactive account and testing materials will be provided (WAIS, WISC, WMS) No diagnostic testing or treatment required Adult and pediatric cases (pediatric comfort preferred) Scheduling Clinic days are scheduled in advance (typically 1-2 months ahead) Volume to support at least 2-3 days per month, or more, if desired Scheduling is available 7 days per week We build full, efficient schedules for each clinic day Once clinic days are confirmed, we rely on those dates to remain firm due to coordination of staff and patients Compensation $90.00 Per MSE and $90.00 per Psych Test Exams scheduled in 45-minute intervals Typical daily volume: 8-12 exams Approximate daily earnings: $800-1,000 Ideal Candidate Comfortable working in a structured, high-efficiency exam setting Reliable with scheduled clinic days Able to perform focused mental status exams and concise documentation Prior experience in clinical or forensic psychology
