Job Description

What we are looking for: We are seeking an LCSW (we are not hiring Supervisees), or a Licensed Clinical Psychologist to provide therapy to adults and/or teens. 22+ clinical hours is considered full-time. You do not have to have CBT skills or significant experience using it unless you are a Psychologist. We will train you, and offer you as much support as you need. We are not necessarily seeking candidates who only use CBT, but we are seeking people with strong critical thinking skills who are willing to use active intervention. We are not looking for passive therapists.
About Our Practice:
We are a small, locally-owned group practice currently comprised of 8 therapists across North Chesterfield, Scott's Addition, and Charlottesville. We plan to stay small. We have a skilled, friendly team and a collaborative, supportive environment. Our focus is on high-quality care and the happiness of our clinicians. Our clinicians are not pressured to see clients that they don't want to see or to work with problems/diagnoses that they do not want to work with.
Requirements:
You must be licensed, or within two months of attaining your license as an LCSW or Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
Responsibilities:
You can choose to work with adults, teens, or children. This is a mostly in-person position. You may have some virtual clients at your clients' request. You can choose the types of clients you would like to work with (ages, diagnoses, etc). Our practice manager works with our therapists to match them to the clients best suited for them. You will not be pressured to work with clients with whom you do not wish to work. You will not have to deal with red tape ever again.
Compensation:
The position is full-time - between 22 and 30 hours a week.

Free professional liability insurance Free continuing education and training, and weekly group supervision. You will be able to consult with our other therapists on a daily basis. We have the most skilled, dedicated, and experienced practice manager you will ever find. She has a chemical engineering degree from UVA and a law degree from W&L. She handles all scheduling and billing, and she is highly skilled at determining which clinicians are appropriate for which clients.
