Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in K-12 students' lives as a School Psychologist in a contract position near Burlington, VT. Step into a dynamic educational environment, supporting multiple school sites within a close radius and providing crucial expertise in student assessment and special education services.
Qualifications/Experience Desired:
Current and active Vermont School Psychologist license Demonstrated experience working as a School Psychologist in K-12 settings Proficient in identifying learning disabilities and familiarity with evidence-based evaluation tools Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple sites within walking distance Comfortable completing 50-60 evaluations annually, including proper documentation and follow-up Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration with teachers, families, and support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for students across elementary, middle, and high school grades Interpret assessment data and communicate actionable recommendations to educators and families Participate in team meetings, including IEP and eligibility determinations, providing insights on students' developmental and academic needs Maintain thorough, timely documentation on all evaluations and interventions Support implementation of school-wide strategies to foster student success and well-being Serve as a knowledgeable resource on learning disabilities, guiding colleagues and offering consultative input This full-time, onsite, Monday through Friday contract offers a rewarding opportunity to have a visible impact in a supportive educational community.
