Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract An outstanding opportunity awaits for an experienced School Psychologist seeking a contract position in a vibrant K-12 setting near Essex Junction, VT. This full-time role spans 37.5 hours per week (Monday through Friday), serving students across multiple school sites, all conveniently located within a half-mile radius. Your expertise will make a meaningful impact by supporting students' academic and emotional development throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
Active and valid School Psychologist license for the state of Vermont Demonstrated experience in assessing and identifying learning disabilities in K-12 students Comprehensive understanding of special education processes and psychological evaluations Ability to manage a diverse caseload and complete 50-60 evaluations annually Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, administrators, and families Comfortable providing direct services onsite five days each week
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough psychological assessments and evaluate students to help identify learning and behavioral needs Prepare detailed, legally defensible reports with actionable recommendations for academic and behavioral interventions Consult with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and monitor IEPs and intervention plans Provide crisis intervention, individual counseling, and consultation as needed to support student success Participate actively in school-wide initiatives, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities This contract role offers stability and the chance to work closely with a supportive exceptional student services team.
