Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students and educators as a school psychologist for the upcoming semester. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August through December, with the added potential for extension. You'll be working onsite across multiple locations, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Bring your expertise in psychological assessment to a focused "testing only" position, Monday through Friday (37.5 hours per week). Your contributions will provide schools and families with the information they need to develop successful educational strategies and interventions.
Qualifications:
  • Hold an active Vermont school psychologist license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience working within K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Solid background in administering, scoring, and interpreting a variety of psychological assessments
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments across different school sites
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with special education teams, families, and other educational professionals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct only psychological and educational testing—no counseling or consultation required
  • Administer, score, and interpret assessments for students referred for evaluation
  • Prepare comprehensive, clear, and legally defensible assessment reports
  • Travel to multiple school sites within the district as assigned
  • Participate in eligibility meetings and communicate findings to special education teams
