Duties Help You will provide health care services for Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP) and Family Advocacy Program (FAP). You will assess and triage clients who present risk to harm self or others and refer to the approprie and nearest behavioral health provider. You will initie, develop, and facilite group trement programs to address the needs of families, such as marital groups and child and adolescent groups. You will assist the Navy Clinical Supervisor with developing Non-medical Clinical Counseling (NMC) case management protocols, program delivery criteria, and identifying gaps in existing services. You will receive and assess referrals made by military and civilian agencies for individuals, couples, families, and groups experiencing situional stressors, including deployment, grief, relocion, separion, and others. You will develop and execute short-term, solution focused NMC counseling trement plans for those individuals who request such services and who present with commonly occurring life circumstance issues or adjustment disorders. You will ensure compliance with maintenance, security and safety of records, reports, files and informion reling to CAP components and ensures applicable assets and interests are protected. You will assist the Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) Site Director in the management, control, development, coordinion and execution of assigned programs. Specialized experience must demonstre the following: 1) Employing various evidence-based and trauma-informed counseling approaches, clinical trement principles and practices, research methods, group dynamics, motivional interviewing, developmental psychology, and family systems therapy to counsel individuals, couples, families, and groups; 2) Using various verbal communicion methods and techniques to effectively work with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds to present informion, discuss cases, deliver presentions, and develop and maintain professional relionships with other trement professionals; 3) Demonstring skill in the use of various written communicion methods and techniques and using a management informion system software and other applicable web-based programs to effectively document case management and trement plans, counseling requirements and services, and to facilite the completion of work assignments; 4) Coordining CAP services, including intake, work load distribution, assessments, case management, liaison, outreach/marketing, educion, and partnerships; 5) Maintaining FAP clinical case records, trement plans and required stistical da, in order to monitor and collabore with the FAP Supervisor or FAR on all child sexual abuse cases involving alleged active-duty offenders or family member victims; and 6) Utilizing and applying the Diagnostic and Stistical Manual of Mental Disorders to recognize, identify, and assess mental disorders and personal and social problems to reach accure conclusions and provide approprie solutions.
