Wisconsin , La Crosse Job Description GPAC has partnered with an community-centered, mission-driven nonprofit organization to identify their next Licensed Psychologist in La Crosse, WI. The organization is seeking candidates who are passionate and skilled in providing a wide array of psychological assessments for children and adolescents. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of a new assessment center by properly diagnosing the needs of children and adolescents from throughout the region to help them obtain the services they need to thrive.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assessments:
    Perform full psychological and psychoeducational assessments for children/adolescents (ages 2-18), including assessment of cognitive, social, emotional, and adaptive functioning.
  • Specialized Testing:
    Utilize standardized tools for diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder (e.g., ADOS-2), ADHD, learning disabilities, and developmental delays.
  • Report Writing:
    Prepare comprehensive diagnostic reports detailing assessment findings, diagnostic impressions, and tailored treatment recommendations.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with parents, pediatricians, and school staff to interpret results and develop individualized treatment or IEP plans.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid psychologist license (PhD or PsyD) in Wisconsin (or ability to obtain by date of hire)
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience conducting psychological assessments on children and adolescents
  • Expert knowledge of child psychological evaluation tools and developmental assessment procedures
