Southwest Cancer Care is a leading healthcare facility in Sierra Vista, Arizona dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate cancer care to the community. As an independent, physician-owned practice, we specialize in Medical Oncology , Hematology , Palliative Care and Infusion Services , serving the communities of Cochise County and surrounding areas. We are thrilled to announce the launch of our cutting-edge Radiation Oncology Center , which will feature the latest advancements in radiation therapy technology. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and passionate Radiation Therapist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the development of a new service line equipped with the most advanced technology Varian Trubeam with Aria (hardware and software). We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to deliver exceptional radiation therapy services to our patients. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team of oncologists, nurses, and support staff to ensure the best possible care for cancer patients. This role is integral to our mission of advancing cancer care with cutting-edge technology and a patient-centered approach.
Responsibilities:
Deliver precise and high quality radiation therapy treatments accurately as prescribed by radiation oncologist utilizing the Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerator. Operate, monitor and maintain advanced radiation therapy equipment, ensuring accuracy, safety and compliance with industry standards. Monitor and assess patient reactions during and after treatments, making necessary adjustments to optimize care and minimize discomfort. Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute personalized treatment plans for patients. Educate patients on the radiation therapy process, potential side effects, and recommended self-care measures to support their recovery. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments in Aria. Perform CT simulations with precision, including administration of IV contrast new Canon on site. Accurately construct and utilize immobilization devices to ensure patient stability and treatment accuracy during therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or a closely related field. Valid state licensure and ARRT certification. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Prior experience in a cancer center or radiation oncology setting is preferred but not required. ( New graduates are welcome to apply) Open to relocation
