Key Qualifications:
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy required Valid, current state licensure as a Radiation Therapist (or eligibility to obtain) Proven experience operating linear accelerators and associated radiation therapy equipment Strong knowledge of radiation safety principles and procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and multidisciplinary teams Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting with attention to detail
Primary Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed radiation treatments accurately and safely under provider directives Prepare patients for procedures, explain processes, and provide compassionate support throughout treatment Position patients accurately to ensure proper dosage and minimize exposure to healthy tissue Document treatments, patient responses, and any concerns in the medical record system Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and report abnormalities promptly Adhere to strict safety protocols, maintaining a clean, organized work area and appropriate use of protective devices Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and physicists to optimize patient treatment plans Those dedicated to making a difference in oncology care are encouraged to apply for this contract opportunity.
