1 Description American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT registration and 2 years of experience to float between Proton and Photon units in a hospital Radiation Oncology department. Details Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology department Float between Proton and Photon units as needed Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Uses CT simulator, linear accelerator, QA dosimeters, diode system, and various computer equipment Requirements Active ARRT registration, license required if applicable Current CPR certification required Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist Completion of at least 1 prior travel assignment required High school diploma/GED or college completion required Elekta equipment experience is a plus Comparable facility size experience required based on assignment location Additional Information Prepare and apply ionizing radiation to patients according to Radiation Oncologist prescriptions and departmental protocols Operate under the general supervision of the Manager and Lead Therapist Accurately deliver prescribed radiation therapy courses with minimal supervision Local candidates accepted at the same rate depending on facility location
