Job Description

Category Radiation Therapy Job Type Contract Deliver advanced patient care as a radiation therapist in a busy radiation oncology clinic. This position offers hands-on experience with state-of-the-art Varian Edge/Aria systems and the opportunity to work independently within a high-volume setting. The clinic serves an average of 64-68 patients daily across two treatment units, requiring strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to provide quality care efficiently.
Schedule:
Contract position Assigned hours are guaranteed, with holiday clinic closures not impacting guaranteed minimums
Qualifications:
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy Current Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) radiation licensure Previous experience in a mid- to large-sized hospital or cancer center strongly preferred Proficient with Varian Edge/Aria treatment platforms Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities:
Administer precise radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists Operate Varian Edge/Aria equipment safely and accurately Engage patients with empathy and professionalism, explaining procedures and answering questions Maintain meticulous records and documentation throughout treatment cycles Participate actively in daily patient flow and collaborate with clinical teams across disciplines Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols Contribute to a positive, patient-focused environment This opportunity is ideal for a certified radiation therapist who thrives in dynamic clinical settings and values delivering compassionate care.
