Job Description

Category Radiation Therapy Job Type Contract Seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to provide patient-centered care in a busy clinic-based radiation oncology environment. The position involves working with two treatment units and caring for a daily caseload of approximately 64-68 patients. Work independently and demonstrate strong multi-tasking abilities in a collaborative clinical team.
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time, contract role Clinic closure days for holidays will not be counted toward guaranteed hours
Essential Qualifications:
Valid certification in Radiation Therapy from ARRT Current IEMA licensure Proven experience with Varian Edge/Aria systems Background in mid- to large-size hospital or oncology center settings Ability to function independently and coordinate efficiently in a high-volume environment Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Key Responsibilities:
Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians Operate and maintain Varian Edge/Aria radiation delivery equipment Monitor patient responses, manage treatment schedules, and document records accurately Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team Uphold clinic policies for infection control and radiation safety Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological advancements and best practices in radiation oncology This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within a cancer center focused on delivering exceptional care.
