Job Description

Job Summary :
Provides leadership, manages, and coordinates delivery of patient care, quality, and patient safety activities within oncology services. Completes and performs diversified technical and professional duties including simulation and administration of radiation therapy treatments in accordance with the prescription and as directed by the Radiation Oncologist. Supervises all Cancer Center staff, including radiation therapists and ancillary team members, to ensure safe and efficient clinical operations. Participates in the coordination of care and ensures policies and procedures are consistent with standards while ensuring all staff are competent to perform their job roles in relation to the population they serve. Performs tasks requiring independent knowledge and judgment. Implements performance improvement initiatives. Provides leadership and assists with departmental operations consistent with corporate and departmental mission and values.
Qualifications :
Holds current ARRT registration to practice as a Radiation Therapist. Associate in applied science in Radiation Therapy Technology. At least five years experience as a therapist in radiation oncology. Thorough knowledge of various radiation oncology procedures. Considerable skill in planning and organizing work. Ability to deal professionally with patients, physicians, department heads and families. Thorough knowledge of specialty Radiation Oncology principles, methods, and techniques. Considerable ability to manage, coach, and provide a motivated environment. EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability
