Job Description

What We Offer:
Novant Health Radiation Oncology Department is seeking a Radiation Therapist. Applies ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. In addition to the duties of the
Radiation Therapist I:
Serves as a Super User for technology, Preceptor for new employees, providing training and mentorship, performs both CT and treatment procedures with a high level of proficiency, Involved in HDR QA or specialized treatment protocols, Demonstrates expertise in VisionRT, Simulation/IV Contrast, and new treatment devices or protocols, engages in at least 1 presentation/proposal to radiation leadership/physicians annually on cost savings, patient safety, or efficiency, ensuring that their ideas are heard and implemented, leads by example, promoting employee satisfaction through active involvement in process improvements.
What We're Looking For:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED, required.
Experience:
One to two years of applicable experience, preferred.
Licensure/certification/registration:
ARRT in Radiation Oncology, ARRT (T) certification within 6 months of hire BLS, required.
Additional skills required:
Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.

Oversee daily operations of the radiation oncology department, including treatment delivery, simulation, and patient flow Ensure safe, high-quality care in alignment with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices Monitor patient volumes, throughput, and scheduling efficiency
