Job Description

Category Radiation Therapy - Radiation Therapist Job Type Contract This opportunity seeks a skilled Radiation Therapist to provide expert care utilizing advanced radiation therapy equipment in a dynamic clinical setting. A Contract position located in Weaverville, NC, offering 36 guaranteed hours weekly, with schedules typically set at 40 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and manage radiation therapy machines with precision, including 2 Linear Accelerators, 1 CT Simulator, and 1 CyberKnife. Deliver patient treatments following prescribed protocols using the Elekta Versa HD, GE Lightspeed simulator, and Accuray M6 CyberKnife. Collaborate with a team of 9 radiation therapists to maintain optimal patient-to-therapist ratios and ensure high-quality care. Accurately document treatment plans and patient progress using the Mosaiq Electronic Medical Record system. Uphold safety standards and protocols to protect patients and staff during treatment sessions.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Certification and experience as a Radiation Therapist. Proficiency with radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators and CyberKnife technology. Familiarity with Mosaiq EMR or similar patient management systems. Ability to work effectively during day shifts; flexibility for rare extended hours to accommodate patient volume. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient-centered care.
Schedule:
Primarily day shifts; 8.5-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM. Night shifts are uncommon but may occasionally extend past 6:00 PM depending on workload.
