Category Radiation Therapy - Radiation Therapist Job Type Contract Radiation Therapists play a vital role in delivering quality care to patients requiring radiation treatment. This contract opportunity calls for a dedicated and compassionate professional ready to provide skilled support in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current certification and registration as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT-T certified or equivalent) Proficient in operating radiation therapy equipment, with strong attention to technical detail Demonstrated understanding of radiation safety procedures and patient care standards Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members Previous experience in a similar therapeutic setting is highly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately deliver prescribed radiation treatments under the supervision of a radiation oncologist Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for each patient session, ensuring proper operation and safety compliance Explain procedures to patients and provide ongoing support and reassurance throughout treatment courses Precisely position patients and monitor their condition during procedures Record and document all therapy activities and maintain detailed treatment records Collaborate with physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff to deliver coordinated, patient-focused care
