Job Description

Category Radiation Therapy - Radiation Therapist Job Type Contract Advance patient care as an experienced Radiation Therapist in a contract role. This position offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality radiation therapy treatments, working alongside dedicated healthcare professionals to make a significant impact on patient outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program. Active ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy. Valid, unrestricted license to practice as a Radiation Therapist. Strong knowledge of treatment planning, dosimetry, and radiation safety protocols. Proven experience operating linear accelerators and relevant treatment equipment. Attention to detail with excellent communication and patient care skills. Ability to adapt quickly, function efficiently under pressure, and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.

Primary Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed courses of radiation therapy to patients in accordance with physician orders. Accurately position patients and ensure proper immobilization protocols. Perform regular equipment safety checks and report issues as they arise. Document treatment delivery and maintain meticulous patient records. Provide clear instruction and emotional support to patients and families throughout the course of therapy. Collaborate closely with oncologists, physicists, and nursing staff to ensure coordinated patient care. Monitor patient responses and communicate any concerns or side effects to the clinical team.
