Category Radiation Therapy - Radiation Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver specialized patient care and technical expertise as a Radiation Therapist in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract role involves working within a collaborative medical team to administer radiation treatment, monitor patient condition, and ensure safe operation of complex therapeutic equipment.
Qualifications:
Valid ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy Active state licensure or eligibility as a Radiation Therapist Experience in delivering external beam radiation treatments Strong understanding of radiation safety practices and protocols Excellent communication skills for patient instruction and multidisciplinary collaboration Ability to accurately interpret and implement physicians' treatment plans Organizational skills and attention to detail
Schedule:
Full-time, contract basis
Responsibilities:
Set up and position patients for daily radiation treatments, ensuring both accuracy and comfort Operate and monitor advanced linear accelerator and other radiation therapy equipment Work closely with radiation oncologists, physicists, and dosimetrists to confirm treatment plans Observe and document patient reactions to therapy, reporting adverse effects according to protocol Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records for each patient Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and oneself from unnecessary exposure Provide empathetic support and clear communication to patients throughout their course of care This position offers an opportunity to make a direct impact in patients' lives while strengthening your expertise in radiation therapy.
