1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with ARRT certification and at least 1 year of clinical experience for a 13-week travel assignment at an oncology radiation therapy center in Santa Fe, NM. Details Outpatient cancer center setting within an Oncology Radiation Therapy department Adult patient population receiving prescribed courses of radiation therapy IMRT, LDR, and HDR treatment modalities utilized Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM On-call and weekend rotation as specified by department policy Requirements ARRT certification required Current BLS (American Heart Association) required New Mexico Radiation Therapist license required if applicable Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience; 2-5 years preferred Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited radiology program or equivalent IMRT and LDR/HDR experience preferred SSN required for consideration 2 professional references required for consideration Active, unexpired copies of all certifications required for consideration Additional Information Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and with minimal supervision, including simulation, tumor localization, and dosimetry procedures Prepare treatment room and equipment per Radiation Oncologist prescription, including immobilization and lead protection devices Maintain patient treatment charts, dosage records, photographs, and portal verification films Communicate openly with patients throughout treatment and report any reactions, complications, or equipment malfunctions to the Radiation Oncologist and Physicist Participate in Quality Assurance management activities such as weekly SSD checks and diode readings under the direction of the Physicist Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a radius rule; locals are not accepted unless the position explicitly states otherwise This position does not accept local candidates
