Position Summary:
P3SG is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to deliver high-quality radiation therapy treatments in a clinical oncology setting in McMinnville, Oregon. This full-time Radiation Therapist role supports patients undergoing radiation oncology treatment and works closely with physicians, nurses, and the radiation oncology team to ensure safe, precise, and patient-centered care. The Radiation Therapist administers radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the physician under the supervision of the Radiation Therapy Manager , while strictly adhering to radiation safety standards, regulatory requirements, and departmental protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer radiation therapy treatments according to physician orders and established protocols Educate and guide patients on radiation procedures and individualized treatment plans Monitor patients during treatment sessions and respond appropriately to changes in condition Operate, maintain, and perform quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements Collaborate with radiation oncologists, nurses, physicists, and clinical staff Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and medical records Assist with additional departmental duties as needed
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy or equivalent Radiation Therapy Certification in good standing Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Aria software Experience with Eclipse Treatment Planning systems Experience with Phillips CT software Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills Familiarity with healthcare informatics systems and radiation therapy technologies
