Certification Image-guided linear accelerators (IGRT-enabled) Full Job Description Come join an exciting and growing Radiation Oncology practice at Panhandle Cancer Care Center as a Part-Time Radiation Therapist. Panhandle Cancer Care Center has been in operation for 13 years and is in the process of building a new center set to open in June of 2026 with all new equipment including a Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerator and Siemens diagnostic CT and PET/CT imaging. JOB SUMMARY
The Radiation Therapist, under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist, delivers radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist using proper positioning techniques, immobilization devices, and safe knowledgeable use of the linear accelerator. The therapist is also responsible for performing CT Simulations for initiation of treatment.

ARIA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND EXPECTATIONS
  • Performs high-quality radiation therapy procedures and quality imaging according to established protocols, in a timely manner.
  • Performs daily quality assurance testing on the linear accelerator.
  • Monitors and reports on any patient side effects to radiation oncologist and nursing staff.
  • Provides kind, compassionate and safe care to patients as well as consideration and understanding for families and co-workers.
  • Must possess excellent people skills and treat patients, family members, and co-workers with respect always.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Coordinates and implements daily scheduling working to accommodate patients using discretion for changing or prioritizing appointments.
  • Supports CT simulations at AUA clinic on scheduled days.
  • Understands and respects the patient's rights, abides by HIPAA and maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Diligent and detailed documentation when using Aria EMR.
  • Provides daily and weekly EMR monitoring checks for any prescription and order change.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
Graduate of an ARRT accredited program Currently registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, Therapeutic Current State of Texas license. Current CPR certification
EXPERIENCE
1-3 years with a solid understanding of 3-D, IMRT, CBCT, IGRT, VMAT, SRS, and SBRT imaging/treatments.
