1 Description American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with active VA state license and 2+ years' experience with Varian and IBA Proton systems for a hospital cancer institute. Details Work at a cancer institute treatment center with 7 treatment rooms 5x8hr shifts totaling 40 hours per week, scheduled between 7am-6:30pm 2 RTTs to 1 patient ratio Uses Varian Truebeam, Varian Trilogy, and IBA Proton treatment systems Uses Aria for electronic medical records Variable weekend requirement if proton machine is down during the week, may need to treat on a Saturday No on-call requirement Requirements Active VA state license required at time of submission (license required if applicable) Current BLS certification (must be AHA) RT(T) certification required Minimum of 2 years' experience using Varian treatment systems, Varian Truebeam, Varian Trilogy, and IBA Proton Aria EMR experience required Additional Information Deliver radiation therapy treatments using advanced Varian and proton therapy systems Orientation includes Inova facility orientation, half-day EPIC training, and department orientation with chief or lead therapist Gray scrubs required for dress code Holiday coverage required during holiday treatment weeks
