Category Radiation Therapy - Radiation Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver advanced patient care and use your expertise as a radiation therapist to make a meaningful difference in individuals' lives. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid credentials as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT certification required) Active state license for Radiation Therapy Experience operating linear accelerators and related radiation oncology equipment Thorough understanding of treatment planning concepts and safety protocols Ability to work collaboratively with the oncology team, including physicians, dosimetrists, and nurses Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to excellent patient care and communication
Key Responsibilities:
Administer daily radiation treatments per physician instructions and prescribed dosage/treatment plans Prepare and position patients accurately for each session, ensuring comfort and safety Monitor equipment performance and report operational concerns to biomedical engineering or leadership Maintain detailed, accurate patient records and document treatment delivery Educate patients and their families about procedures, addressing questions and concerns in a supportive manner Adhere closely to all clinical protocols, safety guidelines, and facility policies Collaborate with the clinical team to optimize patient outcomes throughout the course of therapy This role offers exposure to the latest developments in radiation oncology and the chance to work alongside experienced, supportive colleagues within a collaborative environment.
